Community Involvement: Walk4Hearing Fundraiser

Walk 4 Hearing logoCollege of Health and Human Sciences graduate students and faculty of the Audiology (Au.D.) program raised over $500 for the Hearing Loss Association of America (formerly SHHH)'s Walk4Hearing this fall. We had 12 participants and enjoyed a lovely morning walk on October 18th around Lincoln Park in Chicago. Chicago's Walk4Hearing raised over $100,000 overall! The money is used for awareness and assistance activities at the local and national scale. We would like to especially recognize our third-year student Carissa Coons for her work in organizing NIU's team this year, and first-year student Lauren Moss as our top fundraiser and most dedicated walker.
